Bittywings Baby is now the Freckled Fawn!

Bittywings Baby was born over a year ago and was meant to be the launch pad for our Etsy store, however,
life happened and things changed.
I have chosen to take the blog in a different direction and I didn't feel as though "Bittywings Baby" applied to us anymore...after all...there aren't any babies around here anymore.
I will, of course, be sharing bits and pieces of our life but also plan on being a bit more project oriented.
I am so thankful for those of you that have faithfully read all about our little life over the last year, I ask that you follow us to our new little home on the web and continue to indulge yourself is all things us!
Thank you and see you there!

HELLO...HEllo...hello...heeeellllooooo

Hello and howdy from Oregon state.
After a week of moving and no Internet I am back and happy to report that, yes, we are still alive.  And yes, we did move.
Yes, our house is lovely though still in shambles and
YES...
it is a million more degrees here.
Nuf said.

I have had some technical difficulties with  this blog (evidently) while I was away, It would seem it appears my address changed.
I didn't not do it.
It is still the same.
I'm not sure why Blogger hates me...but i guess it does.
Please, if you are having/ were having / plan on having some sort of issue with finding / reading / viewing this blog, please let me know.  I'm trying to get it sorted out.

Meanwhile.
I am super excited to show you around the new place...
but there are still boxes about...so you will just have to wait.
Loves, Lyssa

The Eleventh Hour

I would like to say thank you for all of your your kind words, thoughts and prayers over the last few weeks.
Its been a bumpy road paved with all sorts of anxiety, but I'm happy to say it is close to being over.
The being of last week was hard.
Jon and I were starting to feel the pressure as we saw the days go by with no answers. Wondering, and dare I say, questioning Gods plans and wondering why He hadn't shown us his answers.
Tuesday, I must say, was the breaking point.  There were bitter words and tears...long prayers on bended knee.  In the evening I went on a walk, by myself, and layed it all out before the Lord, again.  But this time, broken, discouraged and desperate.
As it would turn out, a few hundred miles away God was already at work.
At about 9:30 that night our phone rang with an urgent call from our dear Portland friends saying there was a house and a landlord that I needed to call ASAP.  The landlord also happened to be their pastor.
We called late that night.
Both Jon and I and the landlord felt the timing was the Lords doing and he said the house was ours unless we didn't want it.
This house met all of our "Would love to have" list dreams.
Things like a fenced yard for JJ and Bentley.
Dishwasher (haven't had in forever!)
Garage.
Plus a little extra like
hardwood floors
a loft area for and ART/MUSIC STUDIO!
extra plus:
its is literally a stones throw from our friends apartment.
What else, its not a penny more than we pay now.
The other houses were hundreds more and we were trying to figure a way to do it.
It is a cute and quaint 1940's house with some upgrades but all of the original charm.
A good mix of Jon and my preferences, believe it or not.
Gods timing was perfect, and His plan has undoubtedly be in place this whole time.
Of course, we get impatient.
I don't think we ever learn, as we seem to go through the same trial over and over.

God is good.
What more can I say.
I feel a fool for doubting Him.

We went down Sunday to sign some papers.
The U-haul gets filled tomorrow night
and we shove off sometime Thursday morning!

Can't wait to introduce ya'll to our new home!

Snail mail

After it rains, which may very well be any given day considering where we live, JJ and I have something we do.
All the snails come out after it rains, and there are about 10 thousand snails and slugs that live in the mount of ivy plant next to our house.  My baby boy and I have made a habit out of collecting them and watching them for a bit....then putting them back (of course).
JJ is fascinated with them, and ever so gentle.
Its lots of fun having a boy!

(No snails were harmed in the making of this post, although, we did step on a slug)

VLOG: moving day 2

Pardon me, being in front of the camera was odd.
If I seem uncomfortable, that's why.
HAPPY TUESDAY PEOPLE!

Talented friends

Hey there,
I wanted to take a second to share this lovely little gem with you!
Many of you in the blogging world know who the ever talented and sweet hearted Casey Wiegand is, and as a result you've heard how amazing her hubby's (Chris Wiegand) work is.
This is a little film that Chris made staring a childhood friend of mine!.
Taylor Brandt and I grew up in the same tiny little rural ville town in Washington!  He has, since, moved away and is working on his acting career.
He is a pretty talented guy!
So, naturally, a plug for him too!
They all did a great job in this.
Its such a sweet story, too!

p.s. holla "Stroller mom!"
